Evaporate In 197210 Seconds
Fooling around with Shade and since the scene took the above time to render ... hence the title.

Eight drachms
Each woman is to bring eight drachms into marriage, so that she may follow the last path in her own coffin at time.
Inspired by an Illyrian tradition.
Modeled in Hexagon 2 and rendered in Vue 6 Infinite pre-release, color adjustments in Lightroom beta.

Friar's Battlestaff
Since one of my favorite characters in the MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot is a friar for profession I pondered what I would like to see in his hands and thus I made this one-handed or two-handed crushing weapon.
Goals were perfect balance, a solid grip and enforcements at the tips. So I did a little research on quarter staffs and gave it a few fantasy (spikes at the tips, the "hollow" style of the staff) and modern touches (grip, dual-sided enforcements).
Process: Modeling and rendering done in Shade 8.

Mask-01
Since the update to 2.1 I was finally able to test Hexagon a little bit (had a problem with the tablet until 2.0) and so this mask was born. Originally intended as a carnival mask I had the idea of integrating head lights so that you would be able to see your victims better in the dark...

Colorful Bird
Tried out different modelers for the signs (Hexagon, Silo, Shade) and finally modeled them in Shade. The Kanji words say «Firebird».

Precious II
No textures were harmed during creation. Despite what usually is thought when viewing this image the surface is built as anisotropic satin shader (which can be seen if viewed close enough though).

Working on a few shaders for Carrara ... this is a test of the diamond shader. Dodn't turn out like it should though.
